coilover system for S197 Mustangs. We offer front and
rear kits separately, OR pre-assembled kits that come ready to
Install, adjust height with wrenches as needed, and go! We take the
guessing and hassle out of the assembly process for you, and assemble
these systems based on your vehicle specifics! We start with using
legendary Viking Performance shocks and select the valving, spring rates
and spring preloads based on how you answer when ordering. For this REAR
system we have chosen to start with Berserker valving which has proven to be the most streetable and most capable valving for this specific kit. After rigorous testing and customer
have found what works on these S197 Mustangs! Just answer the
questions and we take care of the rest.
issue we often see is that people tend to ignore Viking's very specific
instructions on applying anti-seize when installing - we do that for
you! (Yes, it's messy)
mark all torqued fasteners with paint marker, and we mark the front and
rear coilover orientations to ensure the installation goes smoothly and
you have a cruiser that you want to lower, a handling machine, a street
racer or a drag strip monster - rest assured we can spec this system
out to meet your goals!

Clearance is very tight in this location. In some cases it may be
necessary to perform modifications for clearance, or use thin wheel
spacers. Not all cars, wheels, tires and scenarios are created the same.
It is very rare that this kit does not work due to clearance issues,
unless there have been extensive modifications performed such as
narrowed rear end housings with relocated shock mounts, etc. In that
case please consider our "Long John Travel" rear suspension system.
